What if science felt more human? In this talk, Mykyta, a science communicator from Ukraine, shares his journey from biology to media, revealing why science needs a new image. Through humor, empathy, and storytelling, he shows how blending intellect and emotion can rebuild trust in science and inspire curiosity in everyone. Mykyta is a science communicator and content creator from Kyiv, Ukraine. He’s been working with the BBC producing science and education reels for Instagram and right now he’s doing his master’s in science communication at University College London. There’s nothing he’d love to do more than to make science and nature documentaries that shed light on real-world issues facing our planet and the people on it. He’s particularly interested in the topics of science misinformation and nature conservation. He’s quite a big fan of oak trees. Spesso con gli Eugenio in Via Di Gioia le canzoni diventano azioni e grazie al supporto costante dei propri fan si riesce a portare avanti eccezionali progetti cooperativi e collaborativi. Born and bred Gosport, moved away aged 18 for uni where he studied performing arts. Then adventured around the midlands working as a manager for a large chain of restaurants. Through challenges you will learn today, Jamie gravitated back home to Gosport and has been back for seven years, working with vulnerable people. Jamie is a keen mental health ambassador supporting others to talk through life’s difficulties. Jamie Mark is the founder of Sean’s Safe Space, a grassroots mental health initiative in Gosport. Through his “Speak, Share, Support” mission, he’s creating safe environments where people can talk openly about mental health without fear or stigma. At TEDxGosport, Jamie shared how starting small can create a ripple effect of change.
