What gives us that surge of adrenaline, dopamine, and serotonin that turns us into real-life superheroes? This talk is a journey across continents and inner worlds — from childhood summers spent running through fields and forests, to sleepless nights under the Milky Way in some of the most remote corners of our planet. Through breathtaking adventures in Socotra, Easter Island, and Kenya, astrophotographer Rositsa shares how reconnecting with nature and the cosmos helped her rediscover herself — even while battling fear, exhaustion, and the chaos of the unknown. Her story reminds us that being alive isn’t about comfort or routine — it’s about wonder, courage, and finding the one thing that gives us superpowers. Rositsa Dimitrova is an internationally awarded photographer and travel blogger, and her photos have been published in prestigious international publications such as Forbes, National Geographic, The Guardian and others. Her true passion is photographing the invisible to the eye - the details in the Milky Way and the night sky, which are only visible when one is far from the hustle and bustle of the big city. In both 2024 and 2025, she was recognized among the world’s Top 25 Milky Way photographers and was featured in Capture the Atlas’s “Milky Way Photographer of the Year” selection. Rositsa has visited more than 35 countries and lived in three of them, yet ultimately chose to return to Bulgaria and to her hometown - Varna.
