Roque Sevilla es un líder ecuatoriano reconocido por su destacada trayectoria como empresario, político, emprendedor y ambientalista.Su formación académica incluye una licenciatura en Economía de la Pontíficia Universidad Católica del Ecuador y una Maestría en Administración Pública de la Universidad de Harvard, reflejo de su compromiso con la excelencia y su visión estratégica.Como fundador y actual presidente del directorio de Grupo Futuro, uno de los holdings más influyentes de Ecuador, Roque Sevilla ha liderado proyectos empresariales innovadores que integran la sostenibilidad y el impacto social como pilares fundamentales. Su enfoque ha sido demostrar que el crecimiento económico puede coexistir con la conservación del medio ambiente y el bienestar comunitario.Motivado por su pasión por la naturaleza fundó en 1976 la Fundación Natura, la primera organización no gubernamental en Ecuador dedicada a la protección del medio ambiente. A través de esta fundación, impulsó campañas pioneras de educación y conservación, que marcaron un antes y un después en la gestión ambiental del país.En su rol político, Roque Sevilla sirvió como alcalde de Quito entre 1998 y 2000, donde implementó políticas de desarrollo urbano sostenible y la conservación del patrimonio cultural de la ciudad. Su gestión destacó por equilibrar la modernización de la capital con la preservación de su riqueza histórica y ambiental.Sus logros son impulsados por un profundo sentido de responsabilidad hacia el bienestar del planeta y la sociedad. Sevilla cree firmemente que la sostenibilidad no es solo una opción, sino una necesidad para garantizar un futuro próspero y equitativo. Su motivación radica en demostrar que las acciones colectivas y estratégicas pueden generar un cambio significativo en la forma en que vivimos, protegemos y valoramos los recursos naturales. Maysoon Al-Khuraissat is a sustainable architect, educator, and green building advisor with over 20 years of international experience in the built environment. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and has dedicated her career to advancing sustainability through both practice and education.In addition to her consultancy work, Maysoon is deeply involved in architectural education. She is an Industry Fellow at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), where she integrates sustainability into academic curricula, bridging the gap between education and real-world application. A LEED Accredited Professional, USGBC Faculty, and IFC EDGE Faculty, she actively trains professionals and mentors emerging architects in sustainable design.
