Beyond memory: The power of resilience | Siddharth Manjunath | TEDxNerul

In this talk, Siddharth shares his journey from being a 10-year-old who struggled to remember a simple grocery list to competing in national and international memory championships. Along the way, he discovered that losing—especially in the moments he wanted to win the most—became his greatest teacher. Through the highs of medals and the lows of missed opportunities, he realized that setbacks don’t define us—they shape us. This talk is not just about memory sports; it’s about resilience, identity, and how setting bolder targets can transform setbacks into comebacks. Siddharth has completed his Class 12 and is a National Memory Athlete. He has represented India in both national and international memory championships, winning multiple medals at the Memory championship. His achievements have also been recognized and appreciated by the Vice President of India. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
