Ultimii 5 ani - part.2 | George Buhnici | TEDxCopou
George Buhnici took the stage with a visionary talk about the future of technology and the essential role of human community in an ever-shifting landscape. His message was strong and clear: “The future of humanity lies in human connection.”In a world where artificial intelligence is gaining ever-greater influence, he sounded an alarm and invited reflection: Where does Romania stand in a global context dominated by technology? He spoke about the next five years—an interval he predicts will bring faster, deeper change than any period experienced by the last three generations.Buhnici underscored the urgent need to safeguard our language, identity and purpose in a world where the new currency is intelligence and processing power. He also issued a call to Romanian tech and AI specialists: create local value, build data centers and AI solutions “made in Romania,” and carry our country into 2030 with heads held high—ready for the new normal. George Buhnici is a Romanian journalist, vlogger, and innovator, known for his passion for technology and sustainability. With a media career spanning over 25 years, he began in 1997 and spent eight years hosting the first tech show on ProTV, the market leader during his time there. Fascinated by life-improving solutions, George—together with a team of specialists—built the first premium passive house in Romania, the ninth of its kind in the world. The project generates more energy than it consumes, proving that sustainability can be both comfortable and practical. In 2017, he took the stage at TEDxCluj, where he shared his experience of having a chip implanted in his hand, exploring the boundary between technology and humanity. Today, through his online platform, he covers a wide range of topics—from tech innovations to health and mobility—continually inspiring a growing community to think differently.
