Num cenário onde as discussões sobre DEI (Diversidade, Equidade e Inclusão) enfrentam resistência crescente, especialmente nos EUA, a importância de continuar a avançar nestes temas nunca foi tão clara. Inês Relvas abordou como os movimentos de DEI, com um foco especial na igualdade de género, estão a ser desafiados por um retrocesso cultural, mas também como, apesar das adversidades, há claras provas do caminho para uma sociedade mais inclusiva e justa. Partindo de uma perspetiva feminista, a conversa irá refletir sobre as estratégias para manter o progresso e resistir ao backlash. Natural de Torres Vedras, é Investigadora assistente no Instituto Gulbenkian de Medicina Molecular, onde se dedica às áreas de bioquímica e biologia molecular, com foco no desenvolvimento de estratégias terapêuticas inovadoras no cancro. Com uma paixão pelo avanço do conhecimento científico, Marta está comprometida com o aprofundamento na identificação e caracterização de proteínas relevantes em cancro, com o objetivo de desvendar mecanismos moleculares que possam ser aplicados à investigação biomédica translacional, impulsionando assim a inovação terapêutica. O seu trabalho resultou em mais de 30 publicações de grande impacto, colaborações internacionais e reconhecimento através de prémios, como o Prémio Jovem Biofísico (2018). Paralelamente à ciência é uma aficionada por desporto, sendo atleta e treinadora de uma classe representativa no Sporting Clube de Torres.
