Jobs for Humans, 2030-2045 | David Evans | TEDxChantilly HS

How will advances in (AI) dramatically change what humans do and even what it means to be human? In this talk, I will briefly describe what AI is and how to expect it to develop in the coming years, how AI is similar and different from previous disruptive technologies, and what this means for human occupation and fulfillment. David Evans is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Virginia where he leads research on understanding and mitigating risks associated with machine learning. He is the author of an open computer science textbook (https://computingbook.org), a book on secure computation (https://securecomputation.org/), and a children's book on combinatorics and computability (https://dori-mic.org). He has SB, SM and PhD degrees in Computer Science from MIT and has been a faculty member at the University of Virginia since 1999. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
