He stepped into the CEO role in November 2023, bringing extensive experience from the financial and tech sectors—most notably serving as a director at F1Soft International and as CEO of eSewa—before assuming leadership at Yeti Airlines. In midAugust 2024, the airline attained the ISSA (IATA Standard Safety Assessment) certification—a globally recognized benchmark—underscoring its rigorous safety management and advanced protocols. He holds a Chartered Accountant qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal, which underpins his strategic oversight in finance, audit, and advisory areas within the aviation sector . As CEO, Sapkota continues to guide Yeti Airlines through strategic growth—in fleet expansion, safety enhancement, and enhanced traveler experience—solidifying its status as Nepal's second-largest domestic carrier.
