In questo talk, l’ingegnere aerospaziale e divulgatore scientifico Vittorio Baraldi esplora una delle ipotesi più inquietanti di sempre: che sia stata l’intelligenza artificiale a spegnere sul nascere le altre forme di vita intelligente nell’universo.Forse non vediamo gli alieni non perché non esistano, ma perché nessuna civiltà è mai riuscita a superare il momento in cui crea un’intelligenza più potente di sé.
Il cosiddetto Grande Filtro potrebbe trovarsi proprio qui, davanti a noi: nella sfida di imparare a convivere con l’IA, senza perdere ciò che ci rende umani.Tra astrofisica, filosofia della scienza e intelligenza artificiale, questo talk ci guida in un viaggio tra paradossi cosmici, etica tecnologica e la domanda più profonda di tutte: riusciremo a superare il filtro che ha distrutto le altre civiltà? Vittorio Baraldi, noto come AstroViktor, è un ingegnere aerospaziale e divulgatore scientifico impegnato a rendere l’universo accessibile e affascinante. Dopo gli studi a Bologna, in Minnesota e il Master alla Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University negli Stati Uniti, si è specializzato in aerodinamica avanzata e propulsione spaziale. Nel 2022 ha guidato un progetto presentato alla NASA sulla produzione di propellente su Marte ed è autore di una pubblicazione sulla stabilità delle orbite attorno a Phobos. Attivo sui social con oltre 200.000 follower, è fondatore di Exodus, co-creatore di Volare Space e autore del libro Come Vivremo nello Spazio (2024).
