Just like how the calculator enhanced math rather than replacing it, Faaris believes AI will do the same for education. In fact, new technology should be seen as a tool, not a substitution for learning. Using real-life scenarios and personal recounts, Faaris presents his vision for how AI can be intentionally integrated into classrooms, without compromising students’ futures. Faaris is a Grade 10 student (Class of 2027) with an interest for the future of learning in the face of advanced technological changes. Serving as the TFS EDIJ (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Justice) Prefect, his passion for AI in education is similarly largely centred around integrity and fairness. His deep engagement with emerging technology solidifies his role as a critical thinker and collaborator in an increasingly digital world.
