- 12:48Sound Healing Journey | Brynn McKeone | TEDxClinton Central SchoolNOTE FROM TED: This talk only represents the speaker’s personal views and understanding of sound, healing, and the brain. TEDx events are independently organized by volunteers. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdfBrynn never expected sound to become her greatest source of healing. In this deeply personal and insightful talk, she shares how a traumatic life event triggered debilitating panic attacks and what she came to describe as a “scratchy brain”—a sign, she later learned, of a nervous system in distress. Turning inward, Brynn found solace in the subtle power of sound. Through the use of Solfeggio frequencies—specific tones believed to promote healing—she began to calm her mind and reclaim her sense of self. What started as a simple tool for relief became a lifeline, and ultimately, a calling. Now a sound healer, Brynn invites us to explore the science and spirituality behind sound as a form of emotional and energetic medicine. This talk is a moving reminder of how healing isn’t always loud—it can begin with a single vibration. Brynn is the founder of Source Sound Healing and a native to Central N.Y. Her interests as she grew into adulthood always include wellness. Balance of the mind, body, and spirit were often what drove her passions and hobbies. She discovered the healing powers of sound through her own healing journey years ago. Personally transformed by the application and use of healing frequencies, she started on a path to further study the science and knowledge behind what sound healing truly is. She received her sound healing training through The School of Sound under the mentorship of Simone Vitale, while also gaining her certification in Crystal Singing Bowl Healing through Life Changing Energy under the instruction of Vickie Gould. A sudden shift in life allowed her to take a leap of faith and pursue her passion of helping others heal from past trauma and simply life itself. She truly believes that in order to heal the world we must first heal ourselves. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
