- 10:08Finding Yourself &Surviving High School | Sara Elisa García Bravo | TEDxPrepas La Salle Bajio YouthLearning from our mistakes is essential in the pursuit of identity. That was something I didn’t know back when I was a teenager. When I first started high school, I used to hang out with the wrong kind of people, who would constantly assault me and each other as well. They used to drag me to do the same thing, until one day they stopped talking to me out of nowhere. That event altered my perception of life and made me feel depressed for weeks, until I started to phase what was about to come and work on myself for the first time. This is a story about forgiving yourself and others, about realizing that everything improves if you are willing to improve. In the healing journey, you will discover yourself by learning and facing the best and the worst aspects of yourself. I’m a student now, but I aspire to have a job that gives me a major voice one day, to talk about issues that affect people and help them understand some kind of social situations. I’d love to be a TEDx Speaker because I have an opinion based on my experiences, I've had problems as well once, and I’m willing to share my experiences to help people feel understood if they have been or are going through something similar This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
