How community fosters creativity | Kashika Dhingra | TEDxSNS YOUTH

How can we foster creativity in an increasingly individualistic world? Youth editor Kashika shares the antidote to hyperindividualism - creating and nurturing creative communities. Kashika is a 17-year-old student at Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon, with a deep passion for the arts—whether through performance in dance and theatre or creation in writing and visual media. In 2024, she founded Junoon Magazine, a youth-led e-publication that offers a platform for young creatives to explore themes such as art, philosophy, science, fiction, and poetry. She currently serves as the President of Ayka India Trust, a non-profit organization focused on education and empowerment for underprivileged communities. A firm believer in the power of storytelling to inspire change, Kashika is also an avid reader, with Slaughterhouse-Five and Circe among her favorites. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
