Merve Başibüyük, psikolojik iyi oluşun çok yönlü bir perspektif ile mümkün olabileceğine inanan bir klinik psikolog ve psikoterapisttir. Bu vizyonla çalışmalarını, EMDR, Bilişsel Davranışçı Terapi, Çözüm Odaklı Terapi, Stratejik Aile Terapisi ve Somatik yaklaşımları bir araya getiren bütüncül bir terapi anlayışı benimseyerek ve bireyin ihtiyaçlarını gözeterek sürdürmektedir.Travma bilgili çalışmalarda uzmanlaşan Başibüyük, psikoloji lisans ve klinik psikoloji yüksek lisans eğitimlerinin yanında, uluslararası düzeyde eğitmenlerin eğitim ve atölye çalışmalarına katılarak bilgilerini derinleştirmeye devam etmektedir. Bugüne kadar Somatik Deneyimleme’nin kurucusu Peter Levine, Polivagal Teori'nin öncülerinden Deb Dana, Bessel van der Kolk gibi isimlerinden doğrudan eğitim alma fırsatı bulmuştur.Bireysel psikoterapi pratiğinin yanı sıra, konuşmacı ve içerik üreticisidir. Türkiye’nin en çok dinlenen psikoloji podcastlerinden biri olan “Terapist Koltuğu” ile psikolojik farkındalık kazandırmak amaçlı yayınlar yapmakta ve yüz binlerce kişiye ulaşmaktadır. Ayrıca, gönüllüsü olduğu organizasyonlarla ülkede yaşanan toplumsal travmalarda saha çalışmalarına katılmaktadır.Merve Başibüyük aynı zamanda, bireylerin kendi içsel süreçlerini anlamalarına rehberlik eden ilk kitabı “Hayatla Bir Anlaşma: Kendi Kendinin Psikoloğu Olma Rehberi” ile psikolojik bilgiyi herkes için ulaşılabilir ve uygulanabilir hale getirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.
