- 16:40In AI We Trust? | Theresa Tjandrawinata | TEDxTSMThis talk wants to get us thinking about how much we actually rely on AI in our daily lives. From content recommendations to chatbots to study tools, AI is pretty much everywhere now. But as it keeps learning from us, we have to ask ourselves: are we still in control or are we slowly letting algorithms make decisions for us? The main point is to start a conversation about where to draw the line between getting help from tech and staying connected to how we think, feel, and make choices on our own. Theresa Tjandrawinata is a tech educator and entrepreneur who makes AI, cryptocurrency, and Web3 accessible for all. With her brand Theresa Learns, she has built a strong following by simplifying complex technologies and emphasizing inclusivity, especially for young women stepping into tech. - 15:03Express, Not Impress: Why Art Still Matters | Winola Sebastian | TEDxTSMThe main idea of this talk is that art doesn’t always need to impress. Sometimes, it is simply about expressing what feels real, raw, and personal. In a world that constantly pushes us to perform and seek validation, especially online, art reminds us that being honest in how we express ourselves matters more than being perfect. Whether it is painting, music, design, or even casual doodling, art can be a way to reconnect with ourselves, relieve the pressure, and process things we cannot always explain with words. This talk encourages the audience to see art not just as a finished product, but as a process. It is a personal space to slow down and get closer to who we really are. Winola Sebastian is an Indonesian visual artist known for blending history and imagination through her paintings and graphic work. Her creations, rooted in a deep appreciation for cultural and historical textures, invite audiences to see the past in new colors and perspectives. With exhibitions both at home and abroad—including La surexposition du MauMa in Marseille—Winola believes art is a powerful tool for education, capable of bridging generational gaps and inspiring curiosity about heritage. - 12:01Building a Business, Finding Purpose | Leon Zheyoung | TEDxTSMThis talk is about showing that building a business isn’t just about chasing money or jumping on trends. It can actually be a way to understand ourselves better. A lot of people start something just to keep up with others, but along the way, they end up realizing what really matters to them. The point is, starting a business can be part of figuring out our purpose, especially if we’re open to learning through the process, the failures, and the growth that comes with it. Guntur LDP (Leon Zheyoung) is a prominent YouTuber and co-founder of LastDay Production (LDP), known for engaging comedy, storytelling, and short films. Beyond content, he is co-creator of Hotto Purto, a superfood brand that combines health, nutrition, and practicality, demonstrating his commitment to empowering the younger generation through meaningful innovation.
