양쿠라 연사는 해양 환경을 주제로 활동하는 설치예술가로, 동북아시아 해양쓰레기 심각성을 알리고 윤슬바다학교라는 예술학교교육프로그램을 통해 예술가의 사회적 역할과 행동을 공유하는데 앞장서고 있습니다.정부 통계에 따르면 연간 한국인 1인당 배출하는 쓰레기는 약 446kg라고 하며, 이런 쓰레기가 잘 처리될 수도 있지만 바다로 흘러가기도 합니다. 이러한 해양 오염은 생물다양성에 있어 아주 심각한 문제이고 우리 일상에도 점점 위협을 끼치고 있습니다. 이런 문제를 주변에 알리고자, 일상에서 버려진 버려진 물건이나 이미지를 재해석하여, 해양쓰레기를 이용해 작품을 만드는 독보적인 활동을 해오고 있습니다.This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
