Why there is no perfect college applicant formula | Aishani Singh | TEDxWestern Canada HS

Through Aishani’s own experiences and countless conversations with peers, she realized the ‘formula’ she had been following to be the perfect college applicant wasn’t unique; many other students like her were attempting to fit themselves into the mold. This inspired her to break free of the formula and take a bold stance against it. Now committed only to her true passions, Aishani speaks openly about a different approach in her TEDx Talk: one that embraces individuality, passions, and a more balanced path to growth and fulfilment. Aishani Singh is a grade 10 student at Westmount Charter School with a love for learning. She lives with her parents and younger brother, whom she loves to spend time with after school. Her hobbies and interests include reading and writing, playing guitar, public speaking, and spending time with family and friends. Through it all, Aishani embraces her future as she’s figuring it out with curiosity, discipline, and an open mind—eager to learn more, create more, and share more with the world, one idea at a time. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
