While 75% of students mindlessly consume digital content, this educator reveals a transformative alternative: turning screens into canvases. Through stop-motion films, 3D printing, and coding, students rediscover the joy of creation - proving technology's highest purpose isn't distraction, but empowerment. Andrew Perry is Director of Educational Technology at Wellington College China Hangzhou, where he leads digital strategy across the campus. Having progressed from classroom teacher and Computing Lead to EdTech Coach, Andrew now contributes to the Wellington China group’s strategic EdTech committee, helping shape how technology supports teaching and learning across its schools.In his TEDx talk, Andrew invites the audience to rethink how children engage with digital devices—not as passive consumers, but as active creators.
