After producing a documentary on China's 3,000-year-old Nuo Opera, even learning and performing its "Kaishan" ritual, he complemented his on-the-ground insights with rigorous economic research. His analysis of global cultural trade revealed how digital platforms and systemic trade agreements are now more influential than geographic and cultural proximity in determining a culture's reach, offering a new strategic blueprint for preserving near-extinct theatrical expressions and art forms.
