Generasi Kembali ke Akar | Dr. Muhammad Faisal | TEDxUNDIP

This talk explores how Indonesia’s young generations shaped by crises from the Asian Financial Crisis to the COVID-19 pandemic hold the key to realizing the nation’s 2045 Golden Indonesia vision. As the country navigates a historic demographic bonus amid rapid technological change, understanding generational identity and the forces that shape collective aspirations becomes essential. By returning to their cultural roots, traditions, and shared experiences a phenomenon known as “generational turning” today’s youth can transform challenges into opportunities and build a more resilient, inclusive, and visionary society. Dr. Muhammad Faisal is a generational researcher who has spent over 16 years studying the behaviors and dynamics of young people. He is the founder of YouthLab Indonesia, a social research and youth communication strategy hub focused on Gen Z and Generation Alpha. He is also the author of Generasi Kembali ke Akar, a book that explores the role of culture and spirituality in the digital age. With a background in generational policy consulting and youth marketing strategy, Dr. Faisal is a sought-after speaker in media and public forums. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
