Rui Ferreira, Padre missionário, explorou o papel da espiritualidade como meio para rasgar e alargar horizontes. O ser humano, como ser em busca e em permanente construção, procura ir sempre mais além do horizonte. Nasceu, em 1981, e viveu em Torres Vedras até completar o Ensino Secundário. Formou-se em Psicologia Social e Organizacional (ISPA, Lisboa). Ao terminar a psicologia, abriu-se um novo horizonte: a missão. Descobriu, então, a sua verdadeira vocação: ser padre missionário. Em 2009, entrou no Seminário da Boa Nova, em Valadares, V. N. de Gaia, e iniciou o curso de Teologia (UCP, Porto).Como membro da Sociedade Missionária da Boa Nova, abraçou a vocação missionária para toda a vida, partindo a primeira vez para Pemba, Cabo Delgado, Moçambique, em 2013. Em 2018, regressou a Pemba, já como padre, e trabalhou também em Maputo. Após regressar de Moçambique, em 2022, assumiu a direção da revista Boa Nova – Atualidade Missionária. Atualmente está também ao serviço das paróquias de São Martinho de Cucujães, Santiago de Riba-Ul e São Mamede de Madaíl (Oliveira de Azeméis).
