Power of Words | Theertha Hariharan Arulmozhi | TEDxUniversity High School Youth

What if the biggest obstacle standing in your way wasn’t anyone else but yourself? For years, I let self-doubt and the pressure to be perfect control my life, convincing myself I wasn’t good enough despite endless effort. In my talk, I’ll share how persistence, self-belief, and learning to challenge your own inner critic can transform not just grades, but your entire approach to life. Theertha Hariharan Arulmozhi is a senior in high school who enjoys writing, doing scientific research, and sharing her passions for science and writing with those around her. She also runs a nonprofit called ViviSTEM, which aims to bring STEM mentorship and resources to children living in underserved communities. She is a big believer in the importance of storytelling and the power that stories and shared experiences have to connect people to each other, and hopes that at least one life will be changed after listening to her share her story on stage today. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
