This talk addresses the phenomenon of bystanderism which refers to an individual’s lack of response in an emergency situation due to the presence of bystanders. it goes from showing the causes to the main effects using real life egyptian cases, and finally solutions. the hook and ending are tied together using the most major case of bystanderism in the field of psychology: kitty genovese. IB psychology student hoping to major in it with a deep passion for it. she aims to give people a better understanding of each-other as she does the same for herself. with this talk specifically she aimed to bring attention for our need for pro-activity as a society, and our duties towards one another by first addressing the psychological root cause, and working around that. George Buhnici is a Romanian journalist, vlogger, and innovator, known for his passion for technology and sustainability.With a media career spanning over 25 years, he began in 1997 and spent eight years hosting the first tech show on ProTV, the market leader during his time there. Fascinated by life-improving solutions, George—together with a team of specialists—built the first premium passive house in Romania, the ninth of its kind in the world. The project generates more energy than it consumes, proving that sustainability can be both comfortable and practical.In 2017, he took the stage at TEDxCluj, where he shared his experience of having a chip implanted in his hand, exploring the boundary between technology and humanity.
