Why Our Potential Doesn’t Stop on Earth | Riyam Ojaimi | TEDxJönköping University

In a world where we constantly encounter new emotional, social, and physical challenges, our ability to adapt becomes the foundation of how we grow. In this TEDx talk, Riyam Ojaimi explores what human spaceflight reveals about adaptation at its most extreme, showing how the body and brain rewrite themselves in environments they were never designed to survive. Drawing from her journey through social anxiety into the field of space medicine, she illustrates how neuroplasticity and resilience shape who we become and why our perceived limits are often just the moment before transformation.    Riyam Ojaimi is a pre-med student and researcher with a focus on aerospace and space medicine. She is the founder and CEO of Space Point, where she works at the intersection of science, research, and communication. With a background in astrophysics, her work explores how the human body and brain adapt to extreme environments, combining research with science communication related to space and human potential. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
