Breaking Stereotypes, Frame by Frame | Farra Shibla | TEDxPushpagiri

Farra Shibla, an actor and psychologist, shares her journey of breaking away from societal expectations to embrace authenticity, love, and passion for cinema. From challenging cultural norms to transforming herself for a defining role, she reflects on the courage and resilience it takes to live one’s own truth. Her story is an inspiring reminder that life’s most powerful script is the one you write for yourself. Malappuram-born actress Farra Shibla burst onto the Malayalam scene in Kakshi: Amminippilla since then has delivered standout roles in Divorce, Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham, Pulimada, and the 2025 film Get-Set Baby. A proud advocate for body positivity, she's openly challenged beauty norms and used her platform to promote self-love and confidence. Educated in psychology and rising from modelling and TV hosting to serious cinema, Fara blends vulnerability with strength both on- and off- screen. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
