This talk exposes the hidden curriculum of medical training, where strength is too often mistaken for silence. Through honesty and resilience, it invites us to reclaim our stories and make space for every voice in medicine. Suha Imran Moten is a second-year medical student, researcher, and advocate for a more inclusive, human-centered future in medicine. She holds a master’s in biomedical sciences from Midwestern University and has authored over seven peer-reviewed publications. Suha has coached regionally recognized hijabi sports teams, been featured on ABC7 News for her leadership, and is currently writing her first book. As the eldest daughter of South Asian immigrants, she’s navigated cultural challenges and academic setbacks with resilience and purpose. Through mentorship, research, and advocacy, Suha empowers young women to lead, speak up, and claim their space in medicine and beyond.
