Huang Yinbao shares how Esperanto became his bridge to the wider world. Esperanto not only opened new paths in agricultural science and international exchange but also became a tool to tell the stories of his hometown and to step onto the global stage. Life may not be defined by a single “Plan A,” but by the “Plan B” we dare to embrace. Huang Yinbao, a college graduate and small-town civil servant from Gansu, used little-known language Esperanto to reach the world stage. He spoke at UNESCO, led the Esperanto edition of The UNESCO Courier, and served as vice president of the Universal Esperanto Association.
