Smartphones, overflowing with notifications, are a constant source of stress—yet cutting off information entirely through digital detoxes often leads to rebound and lacks sustainability. Still, there remains a desire to believe in encounters with transformative information. One promising medium is the podcast—an audio format that doesn't demand our eyes and can be consumed while engaging in other activities. Crucially, it holds the potential to reintroduce serendipity into our daily lives. Takafumi Nomura. Graduated from the Faculty of Letters, The University of Tokyo.
