She earned her Master’s in Architecture from the University of Michigan where she did her thesis on “Built-Environment for Indian Education System.” Her previous projects use traditional methods like compressed bamboo and lime mortar. A notable project includes a 4000 sq. ft. farm house duplex. SSR Architects focus on sustainability, using local materials and minimizing environmental impact. Their restoration of a 17th-century temple uses lime mortar and jaggery. Bhavana trained in the US and Auroville, promoting eco-conscious design and is a licensed architect from Council of Architecture, India. SSR’s ethos centers on research, revive, and re-invent, blending tradition with modern sustainability to create healthy, user-centered spaces.
