Bu konuşma, hayatın özünü oluşturan karbonun dönüşüm yolculuğundan yola çıkarak, insanın ilhamla başlayan içsel ateşini, zorluklarla nasıl şekillendiğini ve bağ kurarak nasıl güçlendiğini TEDxYouth@NKFLSchool'da anlatıyor. Ümit Emre Erdoğan, 1986 yılında Ankara’da doğdu. Dayanıklılık sporuna ve öğrenmeye tutkuyla bağlı bir mühendis, triathlet ve eğitmen, yazardır. Makine ve endüstri mühendisliği eğitimini Türkiye ve Avrupa’nın önde gelen üniversitelerinde tamamladı. ODTÜ (Ankara), KTH (Stockholm), Politecnico di Milano (Milano) ve UPM (Madrid) gibi prestijli okullarda akademik yolculuğunu sürdürdü. Kariyeri boyunca Türkiye’nin mühendislik tarihinde önemli yere sahip iki projede kurucu ekipte yer aldı. Ankara’nın enerji ihtiyacının yarısını karşılayan enerji santralinde ve Türkiye’nin ilk elektrikli otomobilinin geliştirilmesinde aktif rol üstlendi. Mühendislik kimliğinin yanı sıra bir Ironman triathlet ve sertifikalı Ironman antrenörüdür. 119 kilometrelik ultra maratonlarda koşmuş, uzun mesafeli bisiklet turlarında fiziksel ve zihinsel dayanıklılığın sınırlarını zorlamıştır.
