They were children who had never seen an airport, let alone imagined standing on one of the world’s grandest stages. In 2018, twenty-five young souls from the margins of Chennai boarded a plane to Washington, D.C., carrying with them not just music, but years of silence, pain, and unspoken dreams. What unfolded on that stage at the John F. Kennedy Center was more than a performance, it was a cry of freedom, a song of resilience, and a testament to what happens when someone believes in the impossible. This is not just their story. It is a reminder to the world that hope, when given a chance, can take flight. Through art and empathy, he has helped thousands of children rise beyond adversity. Recognized by the World Bank, UNESCO, and Outlook Business, Sriram’s work redefines learning as a path to healing.
