Arslanköy'den sahneye uzanan yolun mimarı Ümmiye Koçak, azmin cesaretle nasıl birleştiğini TEDxYouth@NKFLSchool'da anlatıyor. Ümmiye Koçak, ilk hikayesini 13 yaşında yazmış, Anadolunun kırsal yaşamını ve toplumsal gerçeklerini sahneye taşıyan tiyatrocu, yazar ve yönetmendir. 2001 yılında kendi köyünde "Arslanköy Kadınlar Tiyatro Topluluğu"nu kurarak sanat hayatına adım atmıştır. 17 tiyatro metni yazmış, grubuyla birlikte yaklaşık 30.000 kez sahneye çıkmıştır. Türkiye'de 70.000'e yakın kişi tarafından izlenen eserlerinde kadın sorunları, sosyal adalet, göç ve aile yapısı gibi temaları işlemiştir. Tiyatro ve skeçleri günlük hayatta karşılaşılan sorunlara dikkat çekmektedir. Erik Eşkisi, Ozon Tapakası, Kara Kuyu, Doktor Beleş gibi oyunlar yazmış, Yün Bebek filminin hem yazarlığını hem yönetmenliğini yapmıştır. Eserleri; Sinemada En İyi Avrasyalı Kadın Sanatçı, Ankara Uluslar Arası Kadın Sanatcıları Festivali, Samsun Sivil Toplum Örgütü Girişimcilik Ödülü gibi birçok ödül almıştır.
