- 11:49From Dust to Dream: Passing Hope Through Soccer | Xuanlin Huang | TEDxGCGS YouthWhat if education isn’t only about test scores and rankings, but confidence, possibility, and a way out? In this talk, Thomas Huang shares how a viral video of a primary school team training on a dusty field in Hotan, Xinjiang, led him 2,000+ km across China—and into a mission. He founded the Tiger Project, rallied peers and partners, secured long-term local support, and helped arrange professional club trials for village kids whose dreams once “stopped at the road.” Thomas Huang is the founder of the Tiger Project, a youth-soccer initiative connecting talented students in Xinjiang with resources, funding, and professional club opportunities. An IB student at Guangdong Country Garden School, he combines fieldwork with research on education and social mobility, and has led cross-province trial trips and community programs to help kids turn passion into possibility.
