Immagina un mondo dove le identità si intrecciano e si moltiplicano, dove ogni interazione è un'opportunità per reinventarsi… questo è il metaverso, dove non siamo più solo noi stessi, ma possiamo fare l’esperienza di essere molti altri “noi”. La psicologia e le neuroscienze dei sistemi complessi dimostrano che indossare un corpo virtuale può trasformare profondamente il nostro modo di pensare e reagire agli eventi. La possibilità di abitare psicologicamente in mondi alternativi, può arricchire e trasformare intimamente l’esperienza della realtà.
Negli ultimi dieci anni, livelli di immersività crescenti hanno rivoluzionato il nostro modo di percepire e interagire con mondi artificiali, rendendoli incredibilmente realistici e coinvolgenti. Un viaggio emozionante attraverso la psicologia e le neuroscienze che sfidano le convenzioni e aprono le porte ad esperienze che vanno oltre la nostra immaginazione e che possono avere un profondo impatto sugli individui e sulle società. Salvatore M. Aglioti è professore di Psicologia Fisiologica alla Sapienza di Roma, dove dirige l’AgliotiLab (agliotilab.org) e insegna Neuroscienze Sociali, Organizzative e Forensi. È responsabile scientifico all’Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, a capo della linea “Neuroscienze e Società” ([https://nes.iit.it/](https://nes.iit.it/)), e dirige il laboratorio di neuropsicologia sociale alla Fondazione Santa Lucia IRCCS. Neurologo comportamentale di formazione, ha sviluppato ricerche sulla consapevolezza corporea e, negli ultimi due decenni, su temi chiave delle neuroscienze sociali: empatia per il dolore, interazioni motorie diadiche, attenzione sociale e politica. Usa metodiche avanzate e integrate, dalla stimolazione cerebrale non invasiva all’EEG, fino al monitoraggio innovativo del sistema nervoso autonomo, come l’imaging termico. Legendary gurus such as Babulal Patni Ji, Gauri Shankar Ji, Kanhaiya Lal Javra Ji, Charan Girdhar Chand Ji, Jagdish Gangani Ji, Rajkumar Javra Ji, Rekha Thakar Ji, Manjari Mahajani, and Sangeeta Singhal Ji have contributed to its legacy, while numerous workshops by renowned artists have enriched training.
