遙遠的一步/It took me A LOT to get here | 李緁 LEE, JIE | TEDxMingdao HS Youth

My story isn’t about how many times I’ve been on stage—it’s about choosing to step back onto it after every setback. From speech contest failures to missed drama auditions, I learned that the stage doesn’t belong to those who are flawless. It belongs to those who are brave enough to stand there despite not being perfect. Today, I embrace every opportunity to speak up—whether at forums, Open Mic events, flag team performances, or even the U.S. Congress. What I hope to share with you is this: you don’t have to wait until you feel ready. When you stay present and stay true to what you love, each moment on stage becomes a turning point that shapes you into a stronger version of yourself. I am Jacqueline Li, a performer who colors life with passion. My performance journey began in elementary school, where I danced and acted freely on campus stages. In junior high, I joined the Mingdao Blue Dynamic Band Flag Team, wearing the scout uniform and expressing my youth through flag dancing. My stage extends beyond performances; I also step into school lecture halls to share my thoughts and experiences at events such as the “Global Walkthrough • Lunchtime Forum” and “Open Mic.” Through my stories, I hope to ignite light in others’ hearts and spread positive energy far and wide.
