Vern’s 45-year career in the Rural Electric and Telecommunication industries culminated as President and CEO of National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC) from 2002 to 2020. Under his leadership, NISC and it’s 1,400 employees became a leading IT provider, delivering innovative software to over 960 cooperatives and providers across the U.S., American Samoa, Palau, and Canada. In 2022 Vern was honored as a member of the National Cooperative Hall of Fame. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
