Die Rede „Das Zeitalter des Vergessens und der Konzentration“ beschäftigt sich mit den Herausforderungen der modernen Zeit, in der Information im Überfluss vorhanden ist, aber wahre Aufmerksamkeit und Erinnerung zunehmend verloren gehen. In einer Welt, die von Technologie, ständiger Ablenkung und digitaler Überforderung geprägt ist, untersucht die Sprecherin, wie sich unser Denken, Lernen und Erinnern verändert hat.Der Vortrag beleuchtet, wie die ständige Reizüberflutung durch soziale Medien und digitale Geräte unsere Fähigkeit beeinträchtigt, uns zu konzentrieren und bedeutungsvolle Verbindungen zu schaffen. Gleichzeitig wird reflektiert, wie Vergessen sowohl als Schutzmechanismus als auch als Folge des schnellen Informationsflusses verstanden werden kann.Die Rede lädt das Publikum dazu ein, das Gleichgewicht zwischen Vergessen und Konzentration neu zu definieren – zu erkennen, dass bewusste Aufmerksamkeit und geistige Ruhe zu den wertvollsten Fähigkeiten unserer Zeit gehören. Durch eine Kombination aus wissenschaftlicher Reflexion und persönlicher Beobachtung wird verdeutlicht, dass wahre Konzentration nicht nur ein Akt des Denkens, sondern auch ein Akt des Widerstands gegen die Oberflächlichkeit des modernen Zeitalters ist.
I am currently studying at ALKEV Anatolian High School as an IB student. In addition, I improve my analytical thinking and problem solving skills by participating in national and international math competitions. Throughout my education life, I continue to take an active role in both academic and social fields by developing projects on sustainability, energy efficiency and social responsibility.I am a student at ALKEV Private Anatolian High School, enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). I strengthen my knowledge through participation in national and international mathematics competitions and engage in summer programs at universities, focusing on topics like sustainability and analytical thinking. Alongside my academic pursuits, I take place in Model United Nations and sports, to show commitment to both academic and social responsibility. Dr. AnnMaria Rousey De Mars is a small business owner, serial entrepreneur and was the first American to win the world judo championships.She is president of 7 Generation Games, a tech startup she co-founded. Dr. De Mars has a doctorate specializing in Applied Statistics and Psychometrics, was a professor for seven years, then left academia to found a statistical consulting company. She was one of Forbes 40 Women to Watch over 40, an AARP Purpose Prize Fellow and the first woman president of a national judo organization. In 2022, she was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to the California State Athletic Commission. She has been the lead developer on 14 games to teach mathematics, authored scientific articles in academic journals on topics ranging from factor analysis to needs of rural educators in schools serving Indigenous students, and wrote a book on matwork techniques for judo and MMA fighters.
