Assel Narymbetova, a professor, Master of Economicsr, spoke at TEDxAstana about the concept of the architecture of thinking. According to her, Kazakhstan has both resources and educated people, but its main deficit is strategic thinking.“The architecture of thinking is the system that determines how we face uncertainty, risks, and major decisions,” she said. The speaker described what she called today’s society’s “invisible legacy” — fear, short-term thinking, and habits inherited from the past: living from paycheck to paycheck, saving only “if something is left,” or perceiving opportunity itself as a risk. In Assel’s view, the most valuable legacy we can pass on to future generations is not assets, and not even knowledge, but a way of thinking.“If we pass on a mindset based on stability and growth, future generations will be able to rebuild even what was lost. But if we fail to pass on such thinking, we risk losing everything we have,” she concluded. The guidelines we give TEDx organizers are described in more detail here: http://storage.ted.com/tedx/manuals/tedx_content_guidelines.pdfA Holocaust survivor in Siberia gave away part of his daily bread — and it saved his life.Seventy years later, his grandson, Dr. Donath a New York chiropractor, watched one YouTube video, had a $1 epiphany in synagogue, and accidentally started a movement that has now donated over $27 million — one automated dollar at a time.20,000 everyday people. One dollar a day. Daily emails that simply say: “Thank you for your donation… you are a giver.”This is the story of Daily Giving — and the surprising truth that generosity isn’t a personality trait. It’s a muscle. And when you train it daily, you don’t just change the world. You finally become who you were born to be. Dr. Jonathan Donath is the President of Daily Giving, which he co-founded in 2019. Daily Giving's mission is to enable people to give to charity every day and to distribute those funds to deserving Jewish non-profit organizations worldwide daily. Daily Giving takes nothing. 100 cents of every dollar donated goes to their diversified portfolio of over 75 incredible beneficiary organizations. Daily giving has over 20,000 people from 43 countries giving $1 daily together, and they are giving out over $7.8 million yearly. They have already distributed over $25 million.
