What Can I Do About The Climate? | Sandy Krasner | TEDxPasadena

From Mars missions to local wildfires, Sandy Krasner has seen the power of perseverance firsthand. Learn how one person—through voting, lobbying, and electrifying their home—can take action against climate change and help protect the planet we know harbors life. Sandy Krasner has been at the Jet Propulsion Lab since 1979. He has worked on missions to every planet from Mercury to Saturn, plus assorted comets and asteroids. He has decided to focus on saving one particular planet - Earth. He is the group leader for the Pasadena-Foothills chapter of Citizens Climate Lobby and a member of the Pasadena 100 coalition.Sandy lives in Altadena, a mile from the start of the Eaton fire. He was lucky that his house survived; many others did not. He knows that climate change made the Eaton fire much worse. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
