How I find balance as a fashion designer | Bambi Kevichüsa | TEDxRoyalGlobalUniversity

Celebrating Nagaland's legacy and weaving its spirit into the Spotlight. After completing a tailoring course in Mumbai, she went on to do a Diploma in Clothing Industry Studies at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University) in 2001, at Melbourne, Australia. Upon her return to Nagaland, she started her own design label Bambi K, specializing in bridal couture with clean and understated elegance. Bambi Kevichüsa, a fashion designer from Nagaland, is celebrated for her couture bridal work under the label Bambi K, creating wedding dresses for clients across India and abroad. She also runs Windfall, a concept store in Dimapur. Known for blending traditional Naga designs with sustainable fabrics and colours, she champions eco-fashion, believing designers have a responsibility to future generations. Bambi has represented North East India at global events in Istanbul, Paris, New Delhi, and Hanoi, with one of her garments on permanent display at the Horniman Museum, London. Beyond fashion, she actively volunteers with Team Better Dimapur to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness, and is also a musician who enjoys singing and playing keyboards with local rock bands. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
