Jeska shows that one can change lives across continents. Combining motherhood with humanitarian work is not always easy, but thanks to the strength of a supportive community and a willingness to keep learning, it is certainly not impossible. She believes that helping others is what gives life true meaning. After completing her studies in pedagogy and working in a nursery, Jeska moved from the Netherlands to the Czech Republic in 2014. About a year later, she got married and became a mother.Sharing a love of travel and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, she and her husband began traveling with their children to Africa. There, they met inspiring people full of zest for life, yet with far fewer opportunities than those in Europe.They decided to look for ways to bring new possibilities into the lives of others. In Rwanda, they established a bakery; in Tanzania, a kindergarten. They are currently working on building wells in Zambia and providing food aid for refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
