César Henriques é químico, investigador e empreendedor. Criador da ECOX, transforma resíduos em soluções sustentáveis e leva a ciência para fora dos laboratórios, onde se cruza com a urgência do presente. Acredita que a sustentabilidade não é apenas uma ideia bonita, é um ato de responsabilidade. No TEDxAveiro 2025, César traz-nos verdades incómodas e possibilidades concretas, numa talk que mistura rigor, provocação e esperança. Um alerta poderoso para quem ainda adormece ao som de contos de fadas verdes. Doutorado em Química pela Universidade de Coimbra, com uma forte especialização na área da sustentabilidade.
Ao longo de sua carreira académica e empresarial, publicou 20 artigos em revistas científicas peer-reviewed, além de ser autor de uma patente nacional e 28 apresentações em congressos.
Em 2016 fundou a ECOX, uma empresa focada no desenvolvimento de soluções sustentáveis que evitem os efeitos negativos de resíduos e de embalagens single-use.
Atualmente destaca-se pela comercialização de detergentes upcycling produzidos a partir do óleo alimentar usado.
