The speaker shared how Indian universities today are standing at a defining crossroads as artificial intelligence reshapes the world. Having grown up witnessing the strength of India’s educational traditions alongside the challenges of rigid curricula, the speaker recognized both the power and the gaps in the current system. Encounters with technology and innovation revealed how classrooms could shift from one-size-fits-all models to personalized learning spaces, how rigid subjects could give way to interdisciplinary discovery, and how AI integration could transform the way knowledge is imparted. These experiences shaped the speaker’s belief that universities must evolve from being knowledge providers to becoming capability incubators. The talk reflects on how the fusion of tradition and technology can propel higher education into a future that is agile, inclusive, and visionary and why preparing students not just for jobs, but for a world that does not yet exist, is now the defining responsibility of Indian higher education. Akif Manaf,İstanbul Aydın Üniversitesi’nde düzenlenen TEDx etkinliğinde sahneye çıkarak "Barış Potansiyelini Uyandırmak" üzerine etkileyici bir konuşma yaptı. Nobel Barış Ödülü Adayı Akif Manaf 1958 yılında Bakü’de doğdu. Moskova’daki Ekonomi Enstitüsü’nde sibernetik ve ekonomi alanında eğitim alarak 1980 yılında matematik ve ekonomi dereceleriyle mezun oldu. Doktorasını tamamladı ve bir süre Moskova Ekonomi Enstitüsü’nde dersler verdi. Yaşamını insanlığın pozitif yöndeki gelişimine adayan Akif Manaf şu ana kadar kişisel gelişim alanında 105 kitap yazdı. Yazar Barış Psikolojisi kitabının İngilizce baskısından sonra Nobel Barış Ödülü’ne aday gösterildi. Barış Psikolojisi kitabı şu ana kadar İngilizce, Fransızca, Almanca, İspanyolca, Hollandaca, Yunanca, Hindi dili, Arapça ve İtalyanca olarak basıldı. Kitap Rusça, Japonca, Çince ve Norveççe dillerine de çevrilmiş olup diğer dünya dillerine çevirileri de devam etmektedir. Yazar dünyada küresel barışın sağlanması için aktif olarak faaliyetlerde bulunmakta, barış konulu söyleşilerle ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde çok sayıda kişi ile bir araya gelmektedir.
