Diekara Oloruntoba-Oju highlights the relational and spatial dynamics between young people in a Lagos locality and the government as a microcosm for broader social issues. How do the young and underprivileged negotiate the concept of space in a society marked by inequalities? Diekara Oloruntoba-Oju is a writer and doctoral candidate in anthropology at Harvard University. She holds undergraduate degrees in German and French from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Master's degree in African Studies from Cambridge University.
