Writer-director Farhad Samji traces a 22-year journey through Bollywood, from derision at home to writing hits and directing major comedies. He recalls how a cousin’s mockery ignited the creative flame, how a chance break (and champions such as Salman Khan) opened doors, and how a blunt diagnosis from Ram Gopal Verma redirected him from lyricism to character-driven screenplay and dialogue writing.Farhad reflects candidly on the ups and downs of a film career (72 films written, multiple directorial ventures), the politics and patience required, and the simple rule that guided him: follow your heart. With humor, humility and a poet’s sensibility, he offers practical lessons about passion, persistence and why creativity has no full stop. He began his career in 2002 as a lyricist alongside his brother, Sajid Samji.The duo, known as Sajid-Farhad, wrote dialogues for films like Shiva (2006) and Singham (2011). Dalla fine degli anni ’90 ha lavorato come attore di teatro e televisione, regista e formatore nel teatro di ricerca e come insegnante di italiano alla scuola media e al liceo artistico, in Canavese. Un viaggio nel rapporto tra tempo e decisione: attraverso il mondo degli scacchi, Luca Moroni esplora come ogni secondo possa trasformarsi in un’occasione o in un errore, rivelando ciò che il tempo può insegnarci sulle scelte nella vita e nella competizione. Nel corso della sua carriera ha partecipato a numerosi tornei nazionali e internazionali, ottenendo risultati importanti e scalando la classifica FIDE. Oltre alla competizione, Luca si dedica anche alla divulgazione degli scacchi, promuovendo il gioco tra i giovani. Viaggia tra tornei e competizioni, ma è nella calma della riflessione che Luca trova la sua essenza, svelando con grazia il segreto del gioco che ama e che sa rendere eterno. È considerato una delle figure di riferimento nel panorama scacchistico italiano contemporaneo. Quale valore diamo al tempo? Siamo sicuri che il tempo è denaro o forse è qualcosa di più? Ho scoperto davanti alle “questioni mortali” della vita qual è, per me, il suo valore e questa scoperta mi ha cambiato per sempre. Figlia di un medico e di un’imprenditrice agricola, eredita la curiosità per il mondo e l’arte dell’accoglienza. Dopo il liceo classico si laurea in giurisprudenza a Torino nel 2014. Tornata nel Canavese, lavora inizialmente in studi legali ma scopre che la sua vera passione è l’ospitalità e la ristorazione. Dopo aver affiancato la madre nell’agriturismo di famiglia e aver lavorato come barista, nel 2017 diventa Food&Beverage Manager per una start up torinese, comprendendo le diverse opportunità del settore alimentare. Avvia così la sua attività di consulente per produttori, ristoratori e aziende alimentari, che svolge tuttora. Collabora con enti del terzo settore e nel 2023 rifonda la condotta Slow Food del Canavese, di cui è presidente. La sua famiglia rappresenta il suo “porto sicuro”, il suo sogno di aprire una propria attività ricettiva nel Canavese sta per realizzarsi, coronando anni di lavoro e passione per l’accoglienza nel suo luogo del cuore.
