True progress doesn’t begin with having the most resources, it starts with the courage to see opportunities where others don’t and taking action before anyone else does. With over 20 years of experience in creating and developing new projects, she has brought opportunities to Chiang Rai by designing the city to meet global standards and needs. Promporn (Khun Nong) is a specialist in organizational management and urban development, with over 25 years of experience as a business consultant and senior executive in both the public and private sectors. She currently serves as CEO of the Chiang Rai City Development Company (CRCD), a social enterprise dedicated to driving the creative economy in Chiang Rai. Additionally, she acts as the Focal Point for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and has been selected as Deputy Coordinator of the Design Subnetwork—an important international role.Khun Nong began her career by establishing a business consulting firm in 2002, providing services to top organizations both within Thailand and abroad. Her approach focuses on tailoring sustainability for each organization, encompassing strategic planning, organizational structuring, financial and accounting system design, as well as the integration of digital information systems. She previously worked at the Naval Research Laboratory, and holds a BS from Rowan University, and MS and PhD from George Mason University.
