Bright Bites, Healthy Heights | Rene Wang | TEDxYouth@YCYWShanghai

Smart food choices are important for young children. They need to maintain a variety of foods and a balanced diet to support overall health. Some ordinary foods, like mushrooms, are actually “superfoods” due to their strong nutritional properties. In fact, mushrooms are neither plants nor fruits; they are a type of fungus. Fungi have been on Earth for millions of years and may even have helped in developing the first life on Earth. Therefore, mushrooms are very beneficial for both children and adults. Remember, bright bites lead to healthy heights. Rene is a primary student in Chongqing, China. She loves reading, writing, sports and music. She is curious about learning new things and also has a great interest in biology. Rene always keeps in her mind that humans can interact with the environment in a way that ensures there will be enough resources left for future generations. She recently created a smart AI intelligent agent to discuss about fun scientific facts. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
