Clueless but Confident: The Start of Every Great Story | Aisha Aji | TEDxAvicenna Cinere School
What if recognizing your weaknesses could be the key to unlocking your greatest strengths? In this emotional and insightful talk, Aisha Aji takes us on a personal journey of self discovery inspired by her favorite superhero, Spiderman. Through the lens of the Dunning-Kruger Effect, she explores how overconfidence and failure became her stepping stones toward growth, resilience, and true confidence. From the highs of early success to the lows of unexpected failure, Aisha Aji reveals how understanding her own limits helped her rebuild, not just her grades, but her sense of purpose. This talk blends pop culture, psychology, and real teenage experience into a powerful reminder that awareness, not perfection, is the real superpower.
Aisha Kinanti Aji, known as Kinan, is a 15 year old student currently studying in 9th grade at Avicenna Cinere Junior High School. She is going to high school and has a dream of studying overseas. Kinan is a highly productive student who creates drawing and frequently participates in school exhibitions. Besides art, she is also interested in science, analytical thinking, and logic. This has given her a broader perspective. Her curiosity pushes her to seek explanations rather than accept uncertainty. She often battles with expectations. “Why does that happen?” and “How will things be?” are questions she continues to ask. In her talk, she unravels the explanations behind the challenges we often go through, what a hero experiences, and how to keep moving forward.
