Learning to Learn | Everest Nevraumont | TEDxAlpha School Austin Youth

How does a 10-year-old place second in the National History Bowl? Everest Nevraumont reveals her secrets—not by teaching history, but by teaching how to learn anything. From storytelling to memory palaces, from 7,000 flashcards to AI-powered study hacks, Everest shows how curiosity and creativity can turbocharge learning. With humor, wild facts (Napoleon’s first defeat… by bunnies?!), and unstoppable drive, she proves that anyone can train their brain to remember more, achieve more, and make history of their own. At 10 years old, Everest became the first ever elementary-aged girl to earn a silver metal at the History Bee and Bowl National Championships, ever. In her talk she shares how she did that, and how anyone can use the same techniques in their lives. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
