Truth About Food Labels | Dr. ANKUR BATRA | TEDxShiva Shiksha Sadan Youth

The Truth About Food Labels uncovers the hidden reality behind the packaging that defines our daily food choices. In a world driven by glossy marketing and “healthy” buzzwords, this talk reveals how misleading labels can quietly harm your heart and overall well-being. It dives into the science of nutritional transparency, explaining what those small details — from sugar substitutes and trans fats to sodium levels and preservatives — truly mean. The talk empowers audiences to become conscious consumers by decoding food labels, separating fact from clever advertising, and making informed dietary choices. With relatable examples and practical takeaways, it inspires a shift from blind consumption to mindful nourishment. By the end, listeners will see every food label as more than fine print — as a map guiding them toward a longer, healthier, and heart-safe life.
